Avocados that will. Not. Ripen.
They will eventually. It's still early in the season, so they take longer, plus it's cooler which slows things down. Keep them in the fruit bowl with your apples.
We picked some two or three weeks ago, and they're ripening now.
Three weeks? I can't wait 3 weeks! I want my smashed avo on Vogels now! NOW! <stamps feet>

Why do the worst illnesses always happen to the best people?
And how can the most horrible people live long lives?
Rupert Murdoch, I'm looking at you.
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, Wisdom is knowing not to put it in fruit salad.

Partly because they have the money to pay for the highest levels of medical support.

There's a lot to be said for delayed gratification...

Have you tried the "stick them in a paper bag with a couple of apples" trick -
Have now. They're still not ready! 😂

Might take a fraction longer than 30 minutes. ;-)
Car insurance premiums. Just got my annual renewal and they have increased the premium by 34% at a time both inflation and wage growth have been measured at 3%. The key reason seems to be increasing the agreed value of my 22 year old car by 25% (!) which looks to be more than it would sell for at a quick google. How does that work?
I'd be happy to get that amount if it was written off, but I assume they still manage to find a way to only pay a lower amount....
Our car insurance has "only" gone up by 8%.
They have increased the agreed value by $253.

No there isn't.
Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!
Angry that someone thought throwing a bottle amongst fellow students that were defenseless in a mosh pit was a bright idea. Resulted in my daughter getting two cuts around her eye, stitches and a massive black eye that she can't see out off today. Also not so happy the police she sort help from, while sorted a ride for her to get to hospital, did not take any details or try to investigate what happened. Also not happy the hospital had a 7 hour wait time (yes her injury was not major but wow 7 hours) so she had to find her own way to an urgent care center.
Thanks go to her friend who helped her out through the night. Thanks also to the urgent care doctor who treated her quickly, with kindness and thoughtfulness of her being in shock and potential scaring from stitches.
We are in contact with someone who is in the police force and have logged a 105 report. I would think it is unlikely much can be done but adds to the stats of harm within Dunedin student life.
This is not a good situation or development. All the best for her recovery.

Thank you, lots of tears but I had a good chat tonight with her. So hard when you can not be there immediately for them. It will be a tough few weeks as she was offered a job and has lots of uni work on but she is very very resilient.
Having to pay a yearly subscription fee and then putting up with all the repeated connection issues with the Paradox BlueEye alarm app. A real PIA!
