When Jaycar CS has a change of heart and contacts you to let you know they can rectify the issue with your rewards (even if it is just an exception). [Ref: Annoyance]

Thumbs up Jaycar. πŸ™‚

floydbloke:

This glorious summer weather we're getting over this Christmas/New Year break.  (I'm in Wellington, it tends to be rather variable this time of year usually.)

If you'd like some more glorious summer weather, we have plenty in Auckland. Please specify how many weeks of 30+ degree days you'd like, and preferred means of transfer, e.g. FTP, email, fax, etc.

I don't remember a virus being transferable via fax, so if we could have that option please 😁

Pfft 30 degrees. It's not hot until it hits 40.

NZ 30 is completely different to Singapore 30.

In Singapore it's just, well, hot and muggy.  In NZ it means being outside under a sun not unlike an oven element bearing down on your skin and every non plant based surface that the sun touches turns into a heater which radiates heat similarly.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

You can say that again. Measured the temperature of the dark alu frames around the French doors and they're at 60 degrees as soon as the sun gets to them around noon. Which they then radiate into the living room until about 6pm.

You could actually fry eggs on them.

This Herald story today about Concorde coming to Auckland in 1984. I remember it well - I got up on the roof of our house so that I could get a good view of it flying in.

Also remember seeing Haley's Comet that year.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Novak Djokovic is being held at the border in Australia as his visa isn’t eligible for a medical vaccination exemption.

However I will be smiling more if his lawyers are unsuccessful and he is shown to be in another country.

I fear an court injunction letting him apply for some other visa under which he enters, because he is famous.

He either meets the criteria or he doesn't. I see newshub claiming he is being removed from the country due to his antivaxx stance, but that isn't why. He has applied for the wrong visa that is all it is.

Given the avalanche of anger against his privileged treatment they had to find some way to defuse the situation, a trivial visa technicality sounds like the perfect get out of jail free.

I feel sorry for the Russian player who's vaxxed but can't get in because Sputnik isn't recognised in Australia.
