Why is that? I have found them to be fairly good on pricing. They will beat almost any competitor save the online ones who often dropship and/or have dodgy return policies as well as no brick and mortar store costs.

+1 - In Australia, JB's motto is 'Always Cheapest Prices', here they cannot use that (You will notice on their flyers it is 'Always Cheap Prices') because all it would take is for one of the others to beat them on any price and lay acomplaint with the ComCom.

forgetting the "lowest prices", "best range" is something easily disproven at M10 Mega.... you dont even have to be looking specifically to notice that bunnings has a?much better range than them in general.

Bunnings is very good when it comes to stock and choices.

The mitre 10 mega price beat promise is quite a difficult process for the consumer, because of slight variences in products. Unless the products match and have the same product/bar code, they won't price match. Some of the product I guess are specially packaged and coded for some retailers.

Our local mitre 10 (not mega) has a guy from bunnings pop around every week to check the prices and specials.
