I get something similar happening every second or third time I order pizza from pizzahut, I will look up internet banking afterwards and see that I have been charged twice but this always sorts itself out within a week.

I think a couple of times I have only been charged a dollar at first only to be charged the full amount after the weekend.

Off topic, I have used my debit plus card to purchase various internet services, cloud storage, netflix, spotify etc soo many that I cant remember all of them and now I make sure I dont allow it to make monthly payments without me manually doing it.

But I have a payment that comes up every month, $12.99 or something that I just cant remember what it is for and the description doesnt help (very generic "servepay").

Can I get this cancelled or stopped without cancelling my whole card?

I imagine this is a legitimate service I have just forgotten about in the past like a torrent server or something I no longer use.

Although it may not be intentional, the problem is when the error causes you to go over your limit, and you get stung with a big fee. This happened to me once when I was double charged quite a big amount, which caused it to go over.

I'm sure if you talk to your bank they'd waive that... sounds quite ridiculous otherwise.
