Well I'm Tane!

19 years old from Oamaru (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=oamaru for all the people that don't know where is is)

I work a NZ ISP doing Tier 2 Tech Support and general enquiries (we have a strict social media policy so I can't say which ISP!)

Movies (Action, Family, Comedy), Trashy Reality Shows (Jersey Shore, Geordie shore, ect) and any type of music that has a good beat.

Enjoy taking photos of anything I can, fairly into social media and love anything tech related. I've been a geekzone member since 2008 and really can't think of anything else to write!

My name is Duncan.

I'm married with a daughter who is 6 months old tomorrow. I'm 36 and a recovering indoor and outdoor cricket tragic. I spend most of my spare time now working on my house and playing around with home theatre.

I did a degree in electrical engineering and worked for a while in product development for F&P Healthcare. After I got bored with that I moved into sales and now I am a building automation account manager for Siemens. I really enjoy the technical and business mix in my job.

Started my degree but then got hired by this shmuck.
Bought the customer base for VoIP and ran that for 2 years. (man that was a learning curve)
Sold the company (Learnt a heck of a lot from this also) and worked for the buyer for 6 months.
Now working for LANWorx as a Technical Consultant.
Specialty in VoIP and comunications.
Previously worked as an Alarm Tech and a Alarm Monitoring Tech, Theatre Sound/Lighting Tech, Security Guard
and as alot here a DSE Salesperson.

Real name Luke and aged 41. I work for a global manufacturing company with its head office in the US. I started off as one of the 1st/2nd level support people for our manufacturing site in Porirua. Due to I would like to think some skill and a bit of people moving on worked my way up to team lead for NZ (just four of us in the team). Couple of years ago got offered a position in the client computing architecture team which I jumped at. Never liked management but love being a tech. Our job is to manage the desktop environment including introducing new technologies and software, first job was helping in the introduction of Windows 7. We were managing ~10,000 machines that has just jumped with a major merger to ~20,000 so set to be busy for quite some time!
Have a wife and two teenage kids, a boy and a girl. Have a passion for sailing and am involved in Sea scouts which both of our kids go to. Also mountain bike with my boy and horse ride with my daughter.
I love tech and buy too many gadgets as far as my wife is concerned but no nearly enough as far as I am concerned. Especially into HTPC/home theatre.

Freelance graphic designer, amateur photographer who manages to get paid for it sometimes.

Music obsessed! Have played guitar since childhood. Played drums for a few years in a metal band and ended up as frontman (guitar/vocals) for ChCh band Tainted, but quit in 2007. Still write and record at home.

Nuts about photography too. Always up for a photo mission and have been lucky enough to have been on some really neat missions lately.

Big follower of discoveries in science and nature. No science qualifications but always reading about the universe and nature.

Doctor Who OBSESSED, as you'll see from my signature. Have recorded a metal version of the Dr Who theme tune and now working on a new one. General sci-fi nut too.

Oh, and I'm a cat lover. Have a luffly fluffy grey kitteh called Juniper who showed up on my doorstep when she was little. Love at first sight.

I'm Harrison, 19 years old. I type on computers.

I'm in my second year of a Bachelor of Business and Information Management at the University of Auckland. I work part time at a third-party Apple repair store in central Auckland, managing iPhone repairs and unlocking and handling our e-commerce website (among many, many other things!).

On the side I also run my own web development company and do online marketing and SEO which keeps me pretty busy. ;) Bit of an Apple geek. I've bought every iPhone model on the day it came out here or before. It's embarrassing how many thousands of dollars I've spent on Apple gear.

Love photography however I never seem to take as many photos as I'd like lately.

Was on Close Up for exploiting an XSS hole in Twitter that ended up going viral and leaving the site unusable. That was fun.

Ex crim, saw the light 16 odd yrs ago, in fact i know the day i made the changed 15 July 1994 and no it wasn't because i was stuck in a prison cell with big bubba either but that did help make me wanna change... Been a good boy ever since. Nothing serious just a silly young man at the time who loved drugs & getting up to mischief.

Three sons one with kids I became a grand dad at 37!

Brought up two of the boys on my own who both are in secure jobs, one is part time studying to become an accountant hes good with numbers if that helps. Better than their dad who jumps from one job to the next.

Have been an avid PC gamer for about 15yrs PC all the way though my first game was with the Sega Mega drive. I use to always say i would never ever touch a xbox or PS, your not a true gamer unless you use a PC. I no longer stick by those beliefs, the console gamer is just as good as the pc gamer, tho not quite equal yet. :P

Best and worse job, was network admin for the local school here for 11yrs, my job was to keep the computers maintained and making sure the internet and network always ran smoothly first school in the district back then to have our own computer suite (42 pc's and one in each classroom, plenty of perks, free MS software but a very stressful job as well, can't believe i lasted that long.

Worst Response To A Crisis:

Well im Bryar, Im 26 years old and im a graphic design student at Natcoll/Yoobee. Im into well graphic design, photography, music (play keyboard, guitar and sing) and some games when i have time :)

I was a stock controller for a not for profit disabled factory but quit after some problems. I have been studying since i left and hope to find a nice job designing stuffs :)

I think I'm a reasonably switched on person, however two things muck me up something cronic:

1. Daylight savings and whether we go forward or back

2. Missing flights. I've missed so many flights due to not reading itineraries properly :/
