Those loading times are only so you can go off and get a cup of tea .. and biscuits ... wash the car .. then the dog ... do your ironing ... read War and Peace ... solve world peace .. and THEN have a nice relaxing game :-)

Hands up who still has one at home ?  Come on own up! ;-)

Mark: I'm sure some joggers have traces of lemming DNA in them!

Never understood why not braking your stride is more important than not running out into moving traffic :-(

Do headphones/mp3 have anything to do with this phenomena?

Could it be that these people take the attitude they have while driving and continue it to other modes of getting from A to B, such as running?

Didn't anybody tell you I was a hacker?

I know when I go out running in Henderson I pay extra attention to the cars around me. I do see the odd other runners out there who seem to think they are on bicycles and own the road ( stirring the pot :-p ) Who pay no care at all to traffic.

Its bizarre how some can go out running and not think that they would come out second best if they did stray into the path of a vehicle .

I find to be honest out west when I'm running most, well almost all cars if you make visual contact before the intersection will actually stop and wave you on, can't say the same when I run in Mt Albert though.

"I live out Titirangi way and it seems the joggers and cyclists all have subconcious suicidal tendancies "

always have a snigger when I see disgruntled motorists, pedestrians, cyclist etc, that state the a "ALL " do whatever it is that annoys them almost trying to go tribal and get people to agree with them or make it a bigger deal than what it is.

I would be interested in the OP's research to back up the statement as I've seen thousands of joggers and cyclists that don't so that at all.

If you use the op's logic then all drivers of motorcyclists do the same as I've seen some that overtake in places that could only be called.

Just taking the 'P' :)

No honestly it's true! Come up to Titirangi and sit by the monster munch roundabout and watch the legions of joggers hurling themselves in front of the traffic!!!!

But yes .. I needed a rant, it gets tiring having to avoid collecting hood ornaments every few weeks :-(

Next week I'll have a rant about how the gaps between the queues of traffic should be wider to allow me to ride my bike between them more comfortably .. or how wing mirrors on cars should be made of soft foam so they don't hurt so much when I clip them off on my bike ;-)

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

lol look forward to it and didn't take your post too seriously. I cycle through Titirangi often and can assure you I don't have suicidal tendencies, all my accidents, thus far, have been me falling off my bike due to hitting potholes or attempting structures at woodhill on MTB that a person my age shouldn't.

Lately I have noticed more people listening to devices and walking out into traffic which is dumb, not sure there is more of them around or I'm just noticing them more

It's not just joggers, if you ever have to drive up the parliament end of The Terrace in Wellington, virtually ALL pedestrians, not just joggers seem to totally disregard traffic up there. It seems to be worse in that little section than anywhere else in Wellington, maybe it's the public-servant mentality.
