skewt: I imagine there would be people who would riot, there have been quite a few reports of this case that put the police in bad light
1, They shot and killed two innocents in a car that was a different colour and type to Dorner's
2, Cops shot at another innocent before confirming who it was
2, They burnt down the cabin with him inside which they are now trying to take down all audio related to it
2a, he could have had a hostage and they didn't know (how would you feel if that is how the cops dealt with all stand off's?)
2b, it isn't confirmed the body is him yet
2c, it apparently violates the geneva convention that they did it this way
3, They found his wallet at the border and an official is quoted saying they also found his wallet in the cabin (who has two wallets?)
Your first item (no idea on the others) is horribly wrong. There were three separate incidents in which police shot at vehicles and their occupants. No one was killed in those incidents. Nasty gunshot injuries in some cases, yes.
In all three incidents the vehicles were substantially different to Dorner's hijacked vehicle for which police had an accurate description. People will draw their own conclusions about that for sure. In these three incidents it really does look like a shoot first attitude that puts the lives of LAPD officers ahead of those of the general population.
