Well it's their last day on Monday. I might have another look-see for any last minute bargains tomorrow.

I went to the one at Westfield Riccarton yesterday and it looked like the place had been ransacked, with very little decent stock left.

I managed to get an 8gb USB flash drive for $12 reduced from $20, but there really wasn't anything else that interested me.

The Riccarton Mall one in CHCH looked so empty!
I almost bought a WD TV live that they were keen to sell for $ 99, which was 50% off retail
But its the WD hub that I want , but can wait until my current WD Media player dies.

Will drop in tomorrow and bargain hard for some speaker cable

cheers

I'm not so sure they'll be motivated to move the 'little stuff' as Noel Leeming will be able to happily commit to that... after all, 5 rolls of speaker cables / 200 USB sticks are pretty standard stock items for stores like that. Display model TV's on the other hand, well that would be where you'd score a deal or two.
Having said that, a lot of the ones at their Moorhouse Ave store looked scratched around the bezel, and one even noted that the panel had screen burn...

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Just saw their ad, They state everything must go by 5:30pm.  Head on down there at 5:25pm and make an offer on everything for $1.  If everything doesn't go by 5:30pm then they have falsely advertised!!!

I've often wondered what happens when company's advertise like this, but I suppose they don't say who it 'Must Go" to. In this case I guess the left overs go to Noel Leeming

I stopped by the Lower Hutt store today. No bargains at all in the store, essentially just display models left of everything incl laptops at ~20% off the marked price which is far from a deal.

If I remember correctly its listed on the site whats happening with each store, Sales may not be uniform across the entire company and those merging/re-branding may not be having the same higher discounts as those outright closing.

I remember seeing somewhere the Wairau store which is my local is merging with NL (Wall between them being knocked down)

They had a nice Samsung 3D bluray player / 500 GB twin Freeview recorder for $449 I think it was. I was tempted at that price, but I don't really need it so I didn't buy.

There were heaps of people in our local in PN checking out the limited stock left.
