Inphinity: Good opportunity to by a Nexus or GalaxyTab then ;)

I had a load Android Galaxy 10.1 tablet from Vodafone a while ago and hated it.

If I wasn't saving hard for a new car I would simply buy her a cheap spec Ipad and swap them over when she isn't looking, alas I need a new tow vehicle and don't NEED another Ipad.

NonprayingMantis: my wife used to hate it when I would lie in bed tapping away on my iphone or ipad. (not that we would be doing anything more fun.. its more that it disturbed her sleep haha)

now she has an iphone she is ten times worse than me about it.....

I dare you to call her out on it? I did once, I live in the small room at the other end of the house now...

My dad started out by getting one for my mum. He then got one for himself. Then the iPad 3 came out so he upgraded mums.

He recently passed away, so now she has 3 LOL And my old iPhone 3G

It's fascinating watching her use it. She's never touched a computer in her life but she took to the iPad like a duck to water.

Yep, new Nexus 7.

First few days I was told I was addicted etc.

Then she found Candy Crush, Bejewelled Blitz and Reddit.

Haven't seen it since.

It got so bad in my house, I was finally told "I suppose you want another one, one of those mini ones"

We got it home, she turned it on and then she named it..."Appy"

What cracks me up is that she doesn't know how to move the apps into folders or around the screen, so the front screen is original, and there are now screens and screens of "useful things" she has found.

ZollyMonsta: Happened with my wife and an iPhone. Se didn't want one. I got one, then she wanted one.

Very similar - my wife loved her old work-issue Nokia dumbphone and did not want a smart phone - until she saw my new HTC One and then she wanted my outgoing Galaxy S2 that I was going to sell to help fund the HTC.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Ha ha - so true.  The Mrs complains that I have square eyes - god help the kids if she runs out of battery mid Candy Crush - It's like 'P' for regular housewives.

We are regularly watching TV or a film and then the question "What else has she/he been in?" iPad always within arms reach anyway and straight onto IMDB.

I'm not generally a fan of all things Apple - but I've got to admit they seriously got it right with the iPad!!! [aaagh! the pain!  It hurt so much typing that]

Procrastination eventually pays off.

Replace the girl friend, keep the ipad, it will be cheaper and cleaner that way. I have seen this before, the apple ipad is a house wrecker, first you buy an ipad, next thing you know is half your house and possessions are gone and you are filing for divorce or digging a hole somewhere to bury your ex or hiding extradition or drone strikes from obama. and even after all that when you want to start a new life you are never the same ever AGAIN! you will keep looking into your ipad while on a dinner date. you don't own the ipad, the ipad owns you! however the ipad has become a necessary evil it seems. but I have managed to completely avoid it!

ditch the girl, keep the pad. your sexual and financial life will improve! DO IT NOW!

or you could try telling her prolonged exposure the the radiation from the ipad can cause ovarian cancerous tumor growths.

..or I guess you could just buy another ipad but that would not be as exciting would it. hm..

Well I bit the bullet and purchased my Girl Freind a Ipad4 wi-fi + 4G 16GB so I have my beloved, my precious back in my hands.

For work we had a competition to win an Ipad for our reps, which is funny as they all have Ipad's for work anyway.

The 2 winners both sold them so I got one, at a good price for a brand new Ipad and the other guy sold his for $800 on trade me, it sold in about 2 hours!

Back to bliss!
