This box looks great and I would love it! I have moved house last week to a location with no Freeview HD coverage. I am gutted to have lost my TiVo use after so many years of service (bought on first day available in NZ!). The new place has a sky dish, so hopefully this would be an awesome solution as I am currently using, gah, analog tuner which only has a couple of months left broadcasting anyway. Thanks,

Cheers,
Joseph

KiwiNZ: Maybe offer it to the Wellington City mission or similar.

Is this an entry? If so, that would be your choice should you win.

Replacing an old digistar, it'd be great to let Mum time shift programs and watch things I send her on USB stick or drive.

Our current Satellite Set Top boxes are sitting in a plastic bin. They're a bit past it now. We still have a 90cm dish on the roof with DiSEqC motor.

In saying that I'd probably offer it to my parents in the first instance as they still use an old set top box to watch Aussie TV, and it's rather old also.

Barring that, I'd like to see if anything can be done to improve it's performance with Google Music.

If I won I might find out what this freeview business is all about. Although if the glitchy, sped up, & out of sync broadcasts I've seen at work/friends places are anything to go by I'd probably just play with it a bit and sell it on. Who knows, might find another use for the box, but if not money's always useful. So yeah, would probably sell it and sink the money into my computer.

I'd replace my old one because the PVR function doesn't work most of the time - it fails to record. I also would replace it because mine does not have an Android PC built into it which I think would be pretty cool to make use of.

This would happily replace our Sky TV "multi room" box.

I have just cancelled sky so this is the perfect replacement. Great to see it running Android thus keeping in with my ecosystem of the other devices I have around.
A decent multi function unit that would fit nicely underneath my TV cabient... where the sky+ box is at the moment...

The little things make the biggest difference.
