I got one aaaaaages ago that is vertical, its brand is click and I think it came from dick smith when they were still in the electronics business.

I think Jaycar sell those 'power towers'.

4 sided vertical towers... saw it in their catelouge a couple weeks back.

As above, still results in half the plugs going unused which is no good for my OCD...

With OCD you'd want to only plug into each even numbered socket anyway, so you should be all good :)

What about an 8-port stacked type. Should be able to use 4 of them for sideways plugs and 2 as standard?

Still wastes 2 plugs though. Plus that particular board is a master/slave deal which much not be ideal.

Paulthagerous: I have a number of power adapters for various devices with plugs that go sideways and they are a pain right now as they won't fit side by side.

How many of those adapters are just 5v USB equivalent supplies for mobile phones etc? Some power points and power boards come with built in USB power sockets so you could replace the adapter with a USB cable.

2 are simple usb. Other 4 are solid units that dont come apart.

Hrmm, I have a couple, too, though I'm not sure of the brand (possibly DSE also). I bought them while in Brisbane about 5 years ago. Not sure where to source here, sorry.

Definitely isn't just a "stop crap getting into the plugs" cover- it genuinely has 45 degree rotated sockets. It is intended for rack mounting though, so it's solid metal and not that nice looking.

More to prevent kids from poking metal bits into the holes than to keep crap out. Unless kids are regarded as ...?
