Hi all,

Looking for one of the below things, but that goes vertically and not horizontally:

Has anyone ever seen one or know where to get one?  I have a number of power adapters for various devices with plugs that go sideways and they are a pain right now as they won't fit side by side.

Cheers.

How about this?:

http://mfb.com.au/products/accessories/vertical-power/

They are in Oz but their website says they "supply the world". Don't seem to have online ordering though.

What is the use case, is it just for home/office use or are you looking for a Zero u PDU for a colo rack?

If its just for home/office use you might find it easier to just get the ones with double spacing between each socket, dick smith sell them.

Thanks for your reply, but not what I am after.  It's hard to explain in words, so to try and explain myself better I drew it (4-6 would be ideal):

Home use.  Lots of small devices (phones, portable gaming consoles etc) that all have sideways chargers. Doesn't require much power or anything. It's just I currently can only use every second plug which my OCD hates :(

I know the other option is to simply remove the ones I am not using at the time, but other users are not good with these things and won't put them back, so not ideal for me.

I know PDL make a wall plate vertical socket outlet, but that's probably not going to help as you are after a powerboard.

I can't say I've ever seen vertical oriented powerboard.

What about one of these?

It's a permanently wired in power point however, not a multiboard.

Yeah I couldn't find anything on google either.

The main thing is that if I have one of the chargers plugged into the left hand one then the right hand plug is unusable, so not really.  I currently have 2x 6 plug boards with 3 each in them.  It annoys me (though perfectly adequate technically....)

We have 6 devices with these chargers so a x6 board would be ideal, but a x4 could work as I have a spare power point I could use for the other 2 if required.

As above, still results in half the plugs going unused which is no good for my OCD...

That would be perfect if it was a stand alone board.  Might be a good solution though. Definitely going to think that one over. Logistically I think it will work.

I see your issue and you're right. There would probably be a market for the vertical flavour.

EDIT: But on the other hand, not all power adapters go 'sideways' so if you have one that doesn't, in a vertical power board, you are back with the same problem?

Only one I have seen is in our server racks and they are probably too big for what you are after.

There is power boards that have huge gaps inbetween sockets for this purpose.

How many of those adapters are just 5v USB equivalent supplies for mobile phones etc? Some power points and power boards come with built in USB power sockets so you could replace the adapter with a USB cable.
