Did anyone actually ever like Toffee Apples?  I remember me and all my friends at school used to think they were weird and yuck LOL

I used to eat them as a kid when my mother made them, but I always found them difficult and messy to eat. Once the "Sugar Police" start poking their noses into everything, they'll be a thing of the past anyway.

As an extra, you can roll them in grated coconut before the toffee fully sets. You could also use sugar, chocolate bits, and hundreds 'n' thousands.

Did you sell them all OP?

I always found the Apples floury, which meant they got chucked away (I suppose they are only a delivery medium for the toffee anyway). I'd prefer a good crisp apple nowadays.

They were fantastic crisp granny smith apples kindly donated by KC Loo in Mt Eden, Auckland. They even wheeled a large box to our house on a trolly! Excellent service and great community spirit.

They sold out quickly and could have sold a lot more.
