Don't know if it screened here in NZ but Tales of the Golden Monkey was on on my childhood favourites.

you call those old school, I call them new.  Now Z cars and Rawhide, Wagon Train, Virginian, Man from Laramie and Bonanza were my favourites. They are classics

Who is number 1?
I am number 6?

The Prisoner, which really (yes really) is old school.
I never saw it all as was young at the time, but rember those lines and the opening credits

Ahhhh just before Christmas I watched the pilot to The Greatest American Hero with one of my kids after explaining to her why I knew the theme song when it came on the radio.  A great laugh, but I didn't watch any more episodes.

The Incredible Hulk - YES
Magnum PI - YES (I occasionally got to stay up to watch this)

afe66: The Equalizer..

Mmm couldn't be the 80's I'm sure...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Equalizer

Ahh, Edward Woodward... he was epic in Callan (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061238/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_61) probably the precursor to series like The Professionals, and in many ways a more realistic James Bond characterisation than the then current Sean Connery's suave, sophisticate version. Much more like the Daniel Craig of today.

I don't think the Equalizer captured the same intensity, Woodward was getting on by then, too old for a real Callan remake anyway. Always thought it weird that McCall would arrange a younger mate to suss out his opponent by taking a beating on his behalf, find out just how bad the bad guy was, or wasn't. Then he just seemed to step up at the end and take the kudos for taking down the bad guy... Stewart Copeland (drummer from The Police) did an awesome soundtrack however.

And how scary is it that I can still remember the tune and lyrics for BJ and the Bear... shoot me now.

Loooved Buck Rogers and Tales of the Golden Monkey when I was a kid. And as a teenager I was all about Airwolf and McGuyver.

Can't believe I haven't mentioned Blake's 7.

Best finale in TV ... ever.

A number of the shows are Donald Belasario productions.

That guy must be rich as Croesus.

He loves nepotism too - the actor who plays McGee in NCIS and one of the producers of (the truly awful) NCIS LA are his stepsons!

I have learnt that looking at the "old school" series on Jones in most cases destroys the memory, most have not aged well.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

An interesting point - he seems to have the golden touch.

I enjoyed watching Quantum Leap with my Mum as a teenager, and Jag myself later on.  McGee on NCIS I find good to watch.

I'm also not taken with NCIS LA.  Still it's not worse than CSI Miami.  I honestly thought when I watched the first episode and saw David Caruso starring that it was some sort of piss-take.  I'm astonished it lasted 10 seasons, and that shows I am in the minority with that opinion!
