Trouble is it's hard to make a claim of a fraudulent transaction stick if they actually supplied the goods.

Even though the shortland street address has been removed from their website, I would still be inclined to contact them there, or even use it as the service address for the disputes tribunal claim.

Under NZ law, the merchant has up to 30 days to process a refund request and up to 30 days to deposit the funds into your account.

I'm quite sure those figures are correct so they are allowed to take up to 60 days to give your money back.

So they offered "offered 14 day money back guarantee" (unconditional?) and did not refund when you requested in 14 days? If so that should be enough for a CC chargeback, if you return the goods.

Chaitanya: They seem to have removed Shortland St address from their website. They just have a 09 phone number.

They say "Typically ships in 2-4 business days and delivers in 6-9 business days". That night at 1 am I was too much excited about our upcoming Queenstown trip to do any checks on them and their claims.

Just for additional information:

I have purchased from them before and I had to kick them into gear using threats to get the to send me my device.

It is plain obvious after using them that they want to take your money and wait as long as possible before giving you your product. Also they really don't like letting go of money.

Finally after about two months they sent the courier to collect the return package, placed the refund request, approved it, escalated it for few weeks and yesterday sent an email that my funds are refunded. I have to wait for few business days for funds to actually appear in my credit card.

So hopefully this is near happy ending!

Sigh! I am not going to give my credit card details to them again. Ever. What a pain the butt to deal with them!

Cheers,
Chai
