chevrolux: What really gets me is people who stop at the sign in the drive thru and take their sweet time to read the board. DON'T GO IN THE DRIVE THRU IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT!!

Then why do they have the boards? I try not to stop if there are people behind me.
But it would be good if they some times had more of the boards in the drive through

Or people on the bus - other day it was raining here, I was the third one in line, so just outside the bus and getting wet. When the lady got to the driver is the moment she decided it was right to fumble around looking for the card in her purse. I always leave home with the card in my front pocket, ready to get it out - because I don't want to be inconsiderate to others.

But some people are just that...

people that do that at say countdown then after paying spend an eternity sorting out their purse and hand bag, and if they use the archaic payment method that are cheques they have to fill out the cheque record there and then and not wait until they get home.

Normal ain't coming back, the crazy stays.

I hate the 'oh I forgot just one thing, I won't be moment' at the supermarket checkout. Then they disappear back into the shop leaving their crap on the checkout never to be seen again, and leaving everyone else waiting. Once this got the best of me on a bad day, I grabbed all the groceries off the conveyor, and not so delicately put them back in her trolley, and pushed the trolley back down the nearest isle. Others seemed quite happy with the course of action, but not the lady when she returned several minutes later! Priceless.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

It must be my week for coming across rude people. We just got back from countdown as we dropped in just to grab a couple of items , proceeded to go through the 12 items or less check out and the lady 2 people in front of us (just had one item a drink) was on the phone and when she got to the counter (still on her phone) the checkout operator asked if her drink was the only item and the lady on her phone proceeded to hold her finger up in the hold on a moment action, the checkout operator grabbed her drink and put it down under the counter and said next please. The lady who had the drink started to protest and around all 4 of us in line promptly told her to p!ss off and to not be so rude.
I dunno maybe its my age which is not that much at 44 but manners seem to be on the down trend these days.

if the phonecall is that important, let the person behind you go infront or even better, dont even bother lining up!

If my wife tells me she forgot something I tell her I will go collect it and join the end of the queue when I come back. I rather pay in two operations than hold people.

Yup, that's my issue... It's my wife who regularly leaves me looking like the s&$t in our local pak an save... A Number of times we hit the queue (with our 2small boys) after a half hour+ shop and THEN she disappears for the things that she 'just remembered'... I DID try paying and then meeting her at the car (having the option of then fillin the boys mouths while we wait) but found out the hard way that it's better to be the dork that 2-3 people in the queue get peeved with, than GIGO home on a Sunday afternoon with your wife raging at you, for the better party of a week!
