Sorry but my rant for the day.

Friday is our grocery shopping day followed by takeaways on the way home which is kfc for us.

Tonight kfc was very busy and drive through was backed up half way up the road so we headed in on foot which we normally do anyway , line inside was very long which to be honest I don't really mind to much as I know this is their busy time.

What really burns my nads though is the fact people who have been in line for 20 minutes plus get to the counter then go ummmmmm, I mean really ?????? you have been standing in line for 20 minutes with a big arse menu board in front of you yet when you get to the counter you get stage fright and don't know what to order !!!!.

Come on people make your mind up before you get to the counter is it really that hard ??????

Rant for the day or possibly week over.

in cases like this, you can often spot the arrogant people in the crowd.

those who are considerate, and dont know what they want will often make sure they have their order worked out by the time they get to the counter, or stand to the side while they organize themselves.

even when theres no line, i hate walking up to a place without knowing what i want, feel it creates a awkward tension that is not neded.

Haha the chicken in a burger? The chicken in a wrap? Or just chicken? I can see how that can take sometime to work out!

I hate waiting in lines at subway. All the choices. Like 15 different subs. Plus 30 different breads, sauces, salads.

By "First World problem" I simply mean that we live in a land of (relative) plenty and are lucky enough to be spoilt for choice at takeaways.

Undecided customers should stand aside and move back in the queue.

What really gets me is people who stop at the sign in the drive thru and take their sweet time to read the board. DON'T GO IN THE DRIVE THRU IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT!!

or the people , usually in supermarkets, who get surprised that they have to pay for the goods and spend 2-3 minutes looking for purse/ wallet to pay for it . what did they think was going to happen.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

And that's the topic - they should but they don't, causing other people to feel rage. It's not "a first world problem" but it's a pain point.

Just because we live in a land of plenty doesn't mean we have to accept inconsiderate people behaviour.

Or people on the bus - other day it was raining here, I was the third one in line, so just outside the bus and getting wet. When the lady got to the driver is the moment she decided it was right to fumble around looking for the card in her purse. I always leave home with the card in my front pocket, ready to get it out - because I don't want to be inconsiderate to others.

But some people are just that...

Try working in the hospitality industry and being the server. People ring up for orders/get to the counter and still don't know what they want.

What dipping sauces do you have? "Well we have about 30..."

OR

Even worse is when people place an order, it is being made and then they come back to the counter 5 minutes later "Oh could we please take out the ..."

Not necessarily. We don't eat much fast-food and haven't been through a drive thru for years - so if we went thru we would have to read the board to see what we wanted. Other people must be in the same position. I suppose we could go inside the shop but that defeats the purpose of a drive thru. Maybe they're only for regulars? I still reserve the right to read the board - at the risk of being a PITA.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
