People still buy games and movies in physical stores?

The argument against advertising underwear is moot. If the model was in a suggestive pose in see-through garb perhaps you'd have a case. R18 is nudity, extreme violence and sexual themes, not the sterile generic advertising of a neccessary clothing item.

I think it's a bit p**
The worst part is that it's over the whole group of stores (Noels etc).
Just means people will go to JBhifi or DSE to get their games or when buying a new console that just happens to come with the r18 game.

I do feel for smaller towns however as they might not have another retailer to go to unless they order online or drive to another area.
I see mightyape getting a bit more business now :)

p**?

I couldn't figure it out either, there might be a swear word I've been missing out on!

Not an issue for me either.

I'm sure they have done a cost benefit analysis, maybe the DVD business and gaming sales in R18 band are declining and the profitability is questionable.

I hope it's not the beginning of moving out of DVD sales completely as it would only leave JBhifi as only place that has reasonable DVD selection. (yes I still like a physical copy)

A bit of a bummer cos they have been fairly competitive with new release games. I picked up The Last of Us on PS4 for $75 when EB etc had it on for $99, and that was a similar price to nzgameshop ($69 at the time, I think).

A bit of a non-story though, it's not like the warehouse is the only place that sells games. There are lots of options.

Their games are extremely overpriced to begin with. I've never purchased a game there myself but since the electronics are right by the door in the warehouse near me I can't help but see the prices as I walk by.

R18 stuff would probably be very few sales - a pain to control and opens them up for bad press when joe moron sells GTA V to little Billy.

Who cares - buy your R18 content online or elsewhere.

ckc: Honestly, I preferred it when they sold cheap Chinese crap. At least you could rely on it being cheap. Warehouse is the last place I go for stuff these days. I saw a $150 frying pan in there the other day. $150. Made in USA. Disgraceful.

Don't worry, it will be "50% off all pots and pans excluding clearance, necessities, as seen on tv and other random things" at some stage soon.

I remember when all meant all without BS exclusions.

the God squad will be happy.

really doesn't effect me as I haven't purchased a DVD from The Warehouse in over 2 years, and over 3 years for the last game.

They will have done the sums and worked out they wont be loosing any real money by doing this.

As stated above this is simply marketing BS and not in anyway to be a moral, or upstanding business.

I'd be more likely to shop there if the advertising was that interesting...

I haven't bought a DVD / BD at the Warehouse for years as the always insisted on taking the disk out and putting it away in a drawer and they had to try and find it when you took the empty sleeve to the counter.  Don't know if they've crawled into the 21st century  on this yet..

Regards,
