found usps usually pretty fast, my friend sent something from us post shop via usps on their friday morning and delivered in akl the next tursday morning.

New York sellers are generally right near one of the big hubs for freight so it goes there and then its on its way, whereas out of the way places like oregon have several more smaller internal connections before they get moving quickly.

I have had some amazingly fast china shipments come thru recently. I think its just that the pressure of xmas is over, and the commercial importers are still on break so there is not much freight happening.

It's almost faster to order from overseas than it is to get an item shipped inside NZ these days, which is quite sad really
