I remember bidding on a Nike Driver when I started to suspect the seller was ramping up hs own auction. I pulled out once I got to my limit and the "other guy" won the auction. My suspicions were confirmed when the very next day, the seller sent a fixed offer out to all previous bidders when the auction "winner" failed to complete the sale.
I couldnt decline the offer fast enough but I made a point of keeping an eye out for any relist of the same Driver. And sure enough he did - but eventually sold for much less than the originally rigged auction I was nearly sucked into.

If a seller has multiples of the same item then they have the option to offer at a fixed price after a successful auction anyway don't they?
Although not with the excuse tat the sale never went through.
Chinese Nike drivers are so close to the real thing you would be hard pressed to tell the difference. So how do you tell wether you have been ripped off or not even if you do buy it?
