Other than the missing of commentary one of the reasons I don't go to live sporting events any longer is the appalling way that NZ public are. It's worse at the concerts I've been too. Some of the crass things suggested and shouted at female performers have left me ashamed to be a Kiwi.

If you find New Zealand crowds offensive I wouldn't go near a sporting event in Australia if I was you. You do learn some new words though.

The only live games I go to are the Phoenix games at the Westpac Stadium and of late at the Hutt Rec. Luckily for those we go to the players lounge so it's comfortable with the luxuries and necessities

The crowd where I was seated was fantastic. There were plenty of Aussies around us and 95% of them were having as much fun as we. There was some good banter but nothing rude or offensive. I know there are idiots, they exist everywhere unfortunately. But I would not have wanted to miss Sat for anything.

I am slightly sceptical about Brendan not wanting an xray. Remember sir Richie? He stayed away from the xray coz he knew his foot was cracked. I hope I'm wrong. Regardless, such is life.

It's so funny after that everyone turned up with an arm guard and some of those looked like they were retrieved from the lost and found bin

Well I haven't attended a live sports event but I have been in bars and clubs in Australia when the AB's have played the Wallabies and without exception despite being clearly identified as a Kiwi and AB's supporter, I've been treated well, and have found the groups really well behaved.

I have also attended 5+ Concerts in Australia and never heard anything crude or crass called out.

Yeah it's not quite like that at the cricket. I wouldn't call it particularly nasty, or aggressive, more colourful. And descriptive in a biological kind of way. Both league and cricket are similar although the rugby crowds are a bit up themselves and not as much fun.
