Journeyman: I was once within tackling distance of Helen Clark (not that I would) and was once in the same elevator as John Key (not that I would yell ALLAHU AKBAR in a crowded lift).

Have strolled past and/or said hello to various telly presenters and actors. Nothing too exciting.

I managed Premier House when she was PM and also had responsibility for signing off her mobile bills!!

I worked 10 years doing security in a couple of casino's overseas and got to see a few celebs.
Spent a couple of hours talking to Stevie Wonders wife outside a Green Room while he was on stage performing.
Chatted to Billy Joel (very genuine and down to earth guy ) while he was waiting to go onstage where Elton John was performing.
Stood in front of Whitney Houston, I did not even know she was there, I recognized her body guard who had told us earlier that she was one of those Vip's that do not like people looking at them.
Had one of the Kiss band members ask me for directions ... I still have no idea which one it was.

.

Was Kevin Costner there too?

I went to school in the same year group as the bassist from Coldplay.

Nah .. this was at the opening of the Crown Casino in Melbourne.  Her and hubby Bobby Brown plus entourage ended up getting kicked out, they were suppose to perform 3 nights there, after the first nights performance they celebrated by drinking all night and smoked cigars . They then didnt want to do the next night concert.

Served John Campbell + Carol Hershfield, Andrew Little and the Indian reporter from Seven Sharp (I know his name just don't know how to spell it). Been in a movie scene with Orlando Bloom. Met some Kiwis League players at a bar at about 4am.

Was working on a construction site at Victoria University in my early 20's as a sparky's labourer.  Spotted Melanie Lynskey on the street talking to some friends and raced downstairs to ask her out for a drink.  By the time I got down there, she was nowhere to be seen.  If I'd been faster, I could have been a kept man... cool

Lynette Forday (Plays Dr. Grace Kwan on Shortland Street) sat in front of my on a JetStar flight from Wellington to Auckland about a month ago.
As we got up to leave she was trying to get in the isle but the rush of people made it difficult, so I stopped like a polite person would and let her in.
She turned and said "Thank you" and gave me a smile. I smiled back, then clicked who it was and I got confused for a bit because it was like TV was in real life.
I think I was more shocked that she was flying economy with us cattle.

I've seen various NZ PMs at the airport too of course, I think my cat even got in a fight with Scareface Claws clone once.

I was in a super market once, buying lubricant and wool shears, and who should be standing next to me but Elvis!

Met Hillary Timmens and John Hawkesby in Kawerau when they were doing "Its in The Bag" (shook their hands and chatted). Was about 2ft away from Prince Charles when he and Diana were on a royal tour many years ago in Wellington...missed out on a handshake :(..so many hands.

Bumped into Nicky Watson (is she famous anymore?) in a lift. The silence was deafening. Her dog was cute though ;)
