Is the l'or the one in the little bags? That was a pretty good one when I was ruining the planet with capsules.

Looks like there's a few things to try out! Thanks everyone :D

Since there's so many of you on here that use these machines, what's your favourite pod, and has anyone purchased the massive 150pod box? I'm quite tempted to since the nearest store is half an hour away in NewMarket and I don't really like parking around there.

Also! Last question haha. Descaling: has anyone done that? I saw the manual said to do it once a year, seems like a bit much tho? I don't recall having to descale any sort of appliance before, and this is the first I've seen that recommended it so frequently.

Also; recycling. I did see that Nespresso recycle these quite well. You can drop them at their stores and they'll take care of it for you. The last time we went to the New Market one on Anzac day there were bags on the step full of old pods. The staff didn't seem to care.

The problem with the large box is you end up with loads of gross ones you have to fob off onto unsuspecting visitors.

Go to the shop. Find some you like and buy those.

I have purchased both the large and the medium box and all pods were used.My favorites are Vivalto Lingo, Linizio Lungo.De-scaling will depend on your water our water is good, our Spa does not scale and our coffee machines don't seem to scale. Having said that we still de-scale them and other devices at least yearly. It will help with long life. I also givecthge machine a thorough clean a couple of times a week.

If you have the removable milker as in the likes of the Citiz for example remember to remove the rubber seal when cleaning and clean it thoroughly to remove any milk.

My personal findings has been that there is no really gross or bad capsules but that will be personal taste.

I've been buying compatible capsules from MyCoffeeCapsules. Suzanne imports Caffesso branded capsules, about 10 different varieties to choose from (all coffee - no silly candy flavours).
Recently she stopped selling the 'Impresso' (old brand) capsules and started selling the 'Caffesso' ones (same company) with slightly more coffee per pod. The pods are individually sealed in little bags as they're already punctured at one end. Suzanne says this is because some of the newer machines (like the U) has been reported to have trouble piercing some third party capsules.

They're much cheaper than Nespresso capsules and I've found them to be pretty good. At the moment she's selling 160 for $119 delivered - $0.74 per pod...
Even cheaper (minus delivery) if you pickup from the warehouse in Albany.

I've tried the Nespresso capsules (nice flavour) and the Harvey Norman Podista capsules thrown in free with the machine (not so nice flavour).
