Mighty Ape offers this through Pace I think? Pay an extra $4 or $5 (can't remember) and get it same-day by 8pm, is quite nice.

Courier Post seems to offer this for an extra charge. I was actually home during the day today though. Simply knocking on the door would have actually resulted in a delivery.

andrewNZ: To deal with this specific incident, actually lay a formal complaint. They can't fix it if they don't know.

I filled out the feedback form. Haven't heard anything as yet.

garbonzai: But as for your yard, high gates and fences in the front or entrance gives the impression a 4 legged furry friend could be in their and some people just don't want the confrontation with a aggressive dog (if their is a dog) to get to your door, so flag it and move on... just a thought.

No dog, and all the fences are at the back of the house. The front of the house is open, which is why Mr Courier MacNoknock was able to stuff the card into the door jamb. Fair point though if I go down the combination lock route.

Maybe they should sub-contract to the supermarkets, We get our weekly groceries delivered in the evenings. No problem.. Driver always delivers...no card left in the letterbox, ever ;-)

With our courier we signed a piece of paper that allows them to leave the package in an agreed location. The signing removes their liability if something goes missing.

One that note we get stuff delivered weekly and never had an issue with stuff going missing.

I have no problems at all with courier deliveries.

I use "More Than Print" in Newmarket as my postal address.

Everybody delivers there. Couriers, letter post, anyone you can think of etc.

Every courier driver who delivers to that part of Auckland must go there at least once a week so they remember it and they know that it will be the easiest delivery of the round.

It is a paid for service of course but I value my time and when I see how much trouble other folks have with courier deliveries I figure that I am getting a real bargain from them.

Not so much. We have one instead RD service and 9/10 couriers won't deliver to them.

Two segments

One down a really long driveway, other person saw the courier and locked the dog up and the courier was gone when she went to the door

Courier Post was really very sorry that these issues occurred and the drivers have been spoken to an retrained
