A spindle of 500 Dvd-rs.
anti-static wrist bands are for 'wannabe' geeks. 'True' geeks rub their components on carpet.

Hmm... dvd's are so old now fos... I mean with flash drives for any files that need moving, and ipods/mp3/mp4 players for music and videos that need playing who needs dvds? Next idea please...

One great thing about xmas though, everything becomes much cheaper around this time :)

A quad-core CPU. Water-cooling. A "command centre" in their mom's basement.

I thought stuff was usually cheaper during Boxing Day sales?

My wife has announced she has bought the present I am giving her. I guess she doesn't trust me.

I used to buy my own prez from hubby, got fed up with waiting until February...  Then the girls used to drag him out to buy me something but they are in Aussie this time of year...  He has heard my pleas for an overseas magazine subscription.  YAY!!!

Does anyone know where to find a gadget to keep Princess'es tail out of my screen while she blocks the vents on the monitor?  You would think she would get too hot but oh well, it's christmas time.  That means cooler weather, doesn't it?

Back to grinching - The street advertiser/noise pollution artist has been very quiet.  No blaring pretend carols...  (Anyway, the boss threatened to cut the wires to the speaker above his shop and I have called noise control on them when the CD was stuck at high volume for several hours......  It worked.)

BTW - We have secret orb santa.  If you have seen the clued up orb guy saying 'whatever' with a date on it you now know why.  I seem to be winning the race to find him, we get lollies etc.  Yesterday I won a Santa hat.

Somebody please say something else........

Certainly can; it's called a DOG (another acronym for you Moby, it stands for Daisy Oi Get-the-cat-outa-da-way!!) and there's a picture of it beside this post.

We have two of these devices, but our cat clever Milton has already sussed them out. Possible side effects of DOG ownership:
  • Puke on the carpet
  • Puke in the car
  • Poos on the carpet
  • Barking
  • Hair and sand everywhere (after said devices have visited the beach)
  • Canine flatulence
But we love them really!!

Remember, a dog is not just for Christmas - if it's big enough there's ususally some left for boxing day!!?!

Are you in Auckland?  If so, I was in town the weekend before Christmas last year.  Everyone is away in Coromandel, bars are empty, atmosphere just sucks.

Sorry to ruin it for you Sealed

5 Days to go.

Santa has been pretty laxed for the last 30 years.

Still a Eee PC would be nice,  but I think I'll get a LCD screen,  to save some power.
