DizzyD:
What I don't get though is the right trying to stamp out the right. Its a bit like the greens fighting with labour.

I think it's a power struggle for leadership of the Conservative Party, which (unaccountably) is something that Colin values. Colin's been ousted via a smear campaign exposing his supposed misbehaviour. Colin either didn't do it, or did do it and believes he's successfully covered it up. So now he wants his old job back, or, failing that, revenge on those who ousted him.

It's interesting/entertaining/illuminating that he thinks his reputation is worth $1.5 million.

For anyone else who has no idea what this is all about:

Colin Craig attempting to salvage his reputation and become the future prime minister he always wanted to be is my best guess. WO has issued legal warnings to some hosters of the document above. It is hard to care about the outcome of this whole thing either way.

Thanks, I had no idea. I don't take Colin Craig seriously at all, but I truly loathe sleazy old Whaleoil so good luck to him!

That picture on page 1 of that PDF just makes him look like he has been released from prison, just moments ago.

So at the workplace of a friend of mine, they like to put up photos of colin craig in weird places.
No matter where you are, colin is always watching you in their office, with the most creepy eyes.

They did a favour for me recently, and so i sent them this framed as a thank-you

That was so nice of him to send you a selfie for the bathroom.

The PDF doesn't do the booklet justice.

Ours arrived folded back so the pic on pg 6 was juxtaposed with pg 7's.
Colin's hand resting on a female's knee with the words 'sexual harassment' underneath..

I managed to get the gist without reading it as the back cover handily has bobble headed williams, slater & stringer characters dropping anvils onto a little bobble head Colin Craig..

I have been overseas for the last six months so don't know the full back ground story but read the pamphlet - it kind of lacked any concrete counter arguments, other than to call the allegations lies.

I know that playing to player, not the ball does happen in NZ politics. Winstone's secrete fund, which saw him fall from grace one of the times, was  not for electioneering, but for his defense in court, as National was bogging him down with a bunch of vexatious defamation litigation to detract him from politics.

I second the comments about Whale Oil. I have no trust of any journalist. My organisation has been on the receiving end of fictitious journalism a number of times. I have been on the booze overseas with 6 journalists, over the course of a two week round trip, following a former prime minister. I found 5 of them to be completely arrogant, bragging that they were the king makers who essentially decided who was in power. The 6th, Sean Plunket was a genuinely nice guy, who I would gladly get on the booze with again. Even when sober, some of them were flat out abusive towards people they looked down upon. One of them got him self banned from my companies establishments and future media sojourns, through his shear lack of manners and common decency. Not pleasant people at all, that your average kiwi bloke would have in their circle of friends.

Colin Craig is great, I hope he is able to stick around until the next election. The sheer entertainment value of watching someone spend their own money, hand over fist, in a vain attempt to retrieve reputation, but looking more and more idiotic in the process. Priceless.

I totally agree. Colin is the best thing that's happened to NZ politics since the McGillicuddy Serious Party. Even the Civilian and Bill & Ben can't beat him.

Hope Colin Craig doesn't end up suing geekzone because of this thread....
