I have just received a pamphlet in (snail) mail. Colin Craig has been [character] assassinated.

Apparently Cameron Slater and others are up to the old dirty tricks again!

The pamphlet lists a campaign of lies told against Craig.

Well lies 1,4,7 and 14. Someone got the counting a bit off there.

I found lie 1 - sexual harassment - particularly shocking. It shows a mans hand squeezing a woman's kneecap. Whose hand? - whose kneecap?

There is a wrap up interview with Mr X. Mr. X knows his stuff - quote "Don't forget it's about money, money, money and sex sells...".

Colin and Helen Craig 'authorised' the pamphlet.

Wonder who paid for it? Anonymous apparently.

I'd say he has gone off the deep end however I think he started there and went deeper.

Heh OK change the title!

I was just reflecting the title in the pamplet. i.e. THE [attempted character] ASSASSINATION OF COLIN CRAIG!

It seemed like they were accentuating the assassination and minimizing the character of Colin Craig.

I think we will soon discover that Colin Craig lives in a parallel universe to the rest of us.

What Colin Craig has done is either he is completely stupid is or he is on the right track.

Knowing that Colin Craig always has lawyers around him, I think it is the latter. He is going on crusade with whaleoil. I think both will be ashes.

I think Colin Craig is a foaming nutter, but it's hard to not support anyone wanting to destroy WhaleOil.

Yes, we must stamp out that pesky free speech if it disagrees with our world view.  Just like the brave comrades in North Korea do

What I don't get though is the right trying to stamp out the right. Its a bit like the greens fighting with labour.

I don't really get all the hype about old Colin, Sure he is an absolute idiot, But we have far worse politicians in this country who don't get nearly as much lip as they deserve. Winston Peters, Hone Harawira, Andrew Little, Gareth Hughes, Russel Norman, to name a few....... Absolute clowns too. Lets not forget DotCom.

The difference with those you mention is they seem to do it by accident Colin Craig seems to do it by design

The thing with whale oil is that if he thinks someone is behaving badly, he will expose it - and this applies to the left or the right.  It can be infuriating, and "badly" is definitely defined according to his own particular world view.
I agree re the other clowns, at least we don't hear so much of Wussel's whinging and whining these days

Which brings me to my next point.

I would rather have Clown Colin as a leader in NZ than any of those others.

Interestingly from the last elections it would seem over 95000 of New Zealanders would agree with me.

Conservative party did better in the last elections than Internet MANA, Māori Party, United Future, Act and a few other parties combined. Bit of a shame they get less of a representation in parliament than some of the other minor parties. If I was a conservative I would be pretty p1ssed. We can thank MMP for that, but that's a topic for another day.
