sbiddle:

It's been facinating to watch the hit counter increase at a blistering pace today on that tacky website today!

What was it at the start of the day?

The problem here is that it's very close to defamation.

It's cool that you removed the original post as it's your board but for what it's worth a total defence to defamation is that it's the truth or reasonable personal opinion (my law lecturer a long time ago was Prof. John Burrows, THE authority on NZ media law)

What's interesting here is how many copies of the same thing I've received in just a few hours.

Be interesting to see if this woman's business is now toast.

Good job :-O

And here lies the problem. The post was a copy of an e-mail stream. As Tony pointed out, how can we be sure it's the exact exchange of e-mails and not something modified to suit someone?

Certainly the post is not reasonable personal opinion because it was the reflection of an e-mail exchange.

Therefore it's can't be easy to defend - although we can't say logic is something that is common in law application...

Hosted at none other than "http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~deli/", so it's probably just a small mom-and-pop business.

If IE 4.0 was the latest browser and the website was designed by someone who had an ES.CO.NZ email account then it was generated quite some time back.

At least she made a website back then and used her brains and figured out how to keep her "hosting" costs down. Good on her/him.

This is much more than can be said for most companies even today, if they have a website, it's one which is just a JPG image, Trying to get simple stuff even EMAILED from most companies is near to impossible.

Quite a number one would think.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

There is another email going around today involving the same catering company earlier in the year - its much along the same lines but I wont post due to MF's reasonable stance on this.

Really after repeat business, isn't she?  Incidentally, this one's already made onto Spare Room.
