1eStar: My sister purchased one of those drop proof cameras a while back. To introduce me to it she says, "hey, I got a new camera", and biffs it at me across the room. Talk about reaction time. Quite a good social experiment you could put your prime through.

It's especially alarming for people when you have finished a conversation on the phone to throw the phone either at them or on the ground...

I have actually been doing this! I should out across the office "hey check out my new phone, rip it out of my pocket and throw it across the room making sure it falls well short, the looks are pretty good as it is known that i have ordered an iPhone 6S+

Still no significant marks on the phone after atleast a dozen drops and throws, usually landing on concrete or gravel.

There's a few similar thread's on the internet about the treatment people have given to Omega and Rolex (and other) watches. I'd personally be interested in seeing if it works after being frozen in a block of ice.
