Recently went to their gig at Vector Arena, 35 years after the first time I saw them...epic.

This time around I took my 10 year old son and started the family tradition of "Dad's first gig is your first gig"...

Your son might struggle to keep this tradition going with his kid... Can't see KISS lasting another 35 years.

This will really make me sound old, but I miss playing in the park as a kid.

I just remember finishing school, heading home, dumping my things and going to the park to meet a mate for a kick around. It's the simple things in life.

I was a kid in the 60s and early 70s so riding bikes to the beach, playing in the bush with my mates, building forts, having stone fights...

Some specific memories:

My parents used to take us to Pinewoods motor camp at Red Beach on the Hibiscus Coast every Christmas holidays and they used to show movies on a big outdoor screen. We'd walk down the tracks through the pines, my brother and I in our pyjamas, and sit on the grass watch a movie. I distinctly remember one year it was Zulu with Michael Caine.

One year they cut down about 70% of the bush to build a new intermediate school across the road from our house. My older brother and his mates collected heaps of cardboard boxes from the school when they were fitting it out and put them in a big pile at the bottom of a "cliff" (really just where a bulldozer had scraped the front off a rise when creating access to the school site, leaving a flat face about 20 feet high) which we used to jump into from the top. They got me to "test it". A few weeks later we set the pile of boxes alight as our neighbourhood Guy Fawkes night bonfire.

So hard to choose just one thing; I'm still just a big kid, so basically everything I liked as a kid I still like now ;-)

Star Wars, Lego, He-Man, Thundercats, Airwolf, Knight Rider, Nintendo, Building model aircraft (and other model kits), Alien\s, Sid Meier's F-19 Stealth Fighter, spending days on end lazing on the beach, camping... etc, etc.

i grew up in the 60's and the Whenuapai Air Force base was my playground , spent hours running through the Storm water drains from one side of the base to the other, the Adults couldnt fit in the smaller ones so easy to escape , the Cinema on base where every Saturday afternoon we would have sweet fights when the movie was boring, cycling to Herald Island to fish, fun times

I think there is a better chance of it moving more west, but if that happens we better climb the hills and mountains over here..

The first game consoles, computers etc. all have a big part in my childhood. But also going to the local movie theatre and sneaking in to James Bond movies.

Talkiet: Tetris... A couple of years ago I installed a NES emulator and still fire up the original Tetris a few times a week - it's pretty much the only game I play.

Did anybody else have one of these calculators , was a match the numbers game, my best friend at the time had the boxing one that came out at the same time. This used to go everywhere with me and I had it until last year where it sadly got destroyed.
