tardtasticx: Swing by Kmart, grab a bunch of their $1 antibacterial wipes. Come in packs of 10-12 wipes that reseal.

I leave one in my bag, one in the car, one on desk at work and home and the rest sit in the bathroom for when I run out of one. Seriously they are life. I often use them to lift up a bit of food before it sets and stains, wipe something off before it dries and goes sticky, endless options including after a KFC feed :D

OCD much? wink

Those moist towelettes seemed to have extra-strong grease cutting powers.  I miss them.

Current Consumer has a mention that the allowable ppm of a preservative used in wet wipes and hand creams has changed. Maybe there is a shortage while manufacturer reformulates.

Packet of baby-wipes in the car does the trick.  Also love those water-less hand cleaner gels, great for kids when out and about, and for wiping off the grease from a KFC burger :-)

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Presso: Moist towelette

Oh. Right. That guy looks a bit like Rolf Harris....

I just like the idea of going into KFC and asking for a 'moist towelette'.

Better still, a "Rolf Harris Moist Towlette"!

This story - KFC bans alcohol wet wipes because Muslims might take offence appealed to my sense of humour when I first read it in UK newspapers a couple of ears ago.

McDonalds give them away with their select-a-burger meals (at selected stores). Quite a nice touch, along with the basket of fries and burger with a stick in it holding it together.

Yep- there was a thread here on gz recently where a guy had used one to clean his flat-screen TV and it had dissolved the film covering his screen.

A friend was cabin crew for Air NZ in the 1970's and she told us stories about passengers from our Pacific Island neighbours who, travelling and dining on a plane for the first time, found a sachet with a moist towette, thought it was part of the meal and tried to eat it.

Or even better, a "wet nap".  What does nap stand for?
