My user name is just my name and my lucky number. Like @Presso I'd like to change it, but it seems I'm not allowed to.

My avatar is Tetsujin 28-go ("Iron Man Number 28") - a Japanese manga developed into a cartoon that screened here in the 1960s under its American dubbed and renamed version "Gigantor". Watching reruns online now it was pretty basic, but as a kid I thought it was fantastic and it started an interest in book, TV and movie robots that I still have today - as confirmed by the collection of models and action figures I have that's spread around the house.  When I went to Japan I didn't originally plan on going to Kobe, until I found out about this, then I had to detour. It was totally worth it.

My user name is cos I am a horse rider and it tends to be a name I can use on lots of sites.  I also have a p/plate but that's GGT0A so again, horse related.  I did once get stopped in a Police check and the officer asked me what my plate meant laughing

xpd: Think someone ran a thread like this a few years back :)

Indeed; I remember that one. The trick here would be to come up with a different story from last time, to keep you all guessing... but I'm not all that creative so I suppose I'll have to give the truth.

It came out of the Warcraft random name generator when I was hastily making a character several years ago. It just sounded* like a good name for a draenei and it's stuck.

*Not that I had any particular pronunciation in mind. A number of friends started pronouncing it "bay-o-dar" and that's my preferred pronunciation now; I was typing it as Béhodar at one point but that stopped after I broke a website with it...

Sorry I haven't drunk enough coffee to answer this question. I think it's coffee time now actually :) Double shot Friday of course, and since its the weekend, I can drink as much coffee as a like. Yes the weekend does start on Friday or Thursday or something like that.

I've never been to Dunedin in my life.*
So it seemed to fit me perfectly.

Aspirations as a PFY for my future career mixed with initials (now somewhat revised down)... my other common handle involves my nickname from my early days in the dating game, which I only found out a few years ago I've been spelling wrong all this time...

Boring, initials + a word.  Often it was NiceA  after my P/Plate  N1CEA that was on my full body kit Prelude, spoiler, pinstriped, labelled,  back in the day. Weird was I saw another car the same NICEEH

Edit" Avatar is Mark Webber, I'm a big F1 fan and I liked Webber, except when he spun his car at Suzuka and destroyed a solid chance to win the drivers title

Got asked what my handle was a few times tonight at #wellytech. Totally boring. It's my name. Avatar, just something I liked. No imagination I know...
