Hey guys.

Just a bit of fun.

How did you get your Username and/or Avatar? What does it stand for?

My Username is from a TV show, but I am nothing like the character. I quite like the name, its pretty simple, so thought I would stick with it.

How about you?

Think someone ran a thread like this a few years back :)

Long story short, had a nick all lined up back in the BBS days, then found someone o/seas had same name, so had to change - looked around me for ideas, and saw a book on the shelf "XPD" - its stuck ever since. Even have the p/plate on the car.  Pic is...... me. Exciting stuff.

Also started using Demise/DemiseNZ on various services if XPD was taken.

It's a long story involving tequila, salt, a bare chest and a gorgeous Fijian girl. It would be a lot more interesting if the bare chest wasn't mine.

See ya bro!
Originally got it for a p/plate that I got for my 21st.
Still have the p/plate but hasn't been on a car for a few years as don't really have the right car to put it on now.
Used to be on a Mitsi Evo II.

As boring as my initials. I have never really struck on a consistent user name to use on forums etc. that (a) I liked and (b) was always free, so tend to use different things all over the place.

As for the Avatar, well, I'm a child of the 80s and Prime Rules!

I would like to change my user name as I used the wrong one when I signed up but it won't let you. My Avatar is what the missus reckons I look like sitting on the couch after work.

Back in 1999 I started playing Everquest, and wanted to make a Troll character, so I liberated the first name of a somewhat obscure Troll character in a Terry Pratchett novel. I've been using it ever since.

Mine is a variation on my nickname I got in the Military years ago.
I started putting NZ onto Spides so I could differentiate between me and others using the same name around the world.

I like others here have SPIDES as a number plate on my car.

I think that I saw it on a forum somewhere a long time ago. Decided to use it on here.

I'd be lying if I said I have DARTHKERMIT as a personalised plate.

My avatar is a picture I took of a very old fence post in the Kahuterawa Valley with barbed wire and purple flowers around it.

Initials, PJW.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.
