FWIW I use NZ Couriers as I find the staff at the Chch. depot efficient & helpful. I find NZ Post shops a PITA with long queues, stressed staff who can be unhelpful and rude.

khull:
Call them up and request to have the driver fired from your delivery area. As harsh as it sounds, you expect people to at least do their jobs to the best of their ability. You wouldn't expect the car service to damage your vehicle. You wouldn't expect the day care to to mistreat your child.

I wouldn't want anyone fired.

I'll ask them to leave cards in my mailbox in future, which is designed to hold things without blowing away in the wind.

Praying my goods have not been returned to iceland/usa/or hong kong. Whichever this happens to be.

Our Courierpost delivery person always puts our card to calls on the ground outside our front door, i was going to complain to them about this but never got around to it.

Therein lies your problem quite frankly. Get around to it - do express your concerns and I am quite sure this situation will not happen again.

I ordered something from Mighty Ape before xmas, they use Flyways couriers, and I received an email advising that my parcel had  been delivered.  I was home at the time, never saw the courier arrive and immediately thought no way have they delivered this, its gone to a wrong address. It was literally minutes between receiving the email and when it must've been delivered.  they had left it in the letter box.  Good service.

That's interesting; Mighty Ape must use different couriers in different areas because it's always been CourierPost for me. There is no Fliway agent in my town (as far as I'm aware), so that might be part of it.

Always courier post here, and with the old driver I would usually get it the same day if it was sent out before about 2pm.

I talked to them today, they said it is policy.  Because people complain the courier did not come to the door, so they leave the card at the door to prove it.

And, the cards get blown away in the wind.

It is a dumb and dumber situation, cannot ever win this.

I "think" it was Flyways who delivered to me a couple of months back, where the tracking said it was delivered but we did not have it.

There was a photo attached to the tracking,  of our package carefully placed outside the door of someone elses house ha ha.

I phoned flyways and they said they would investigate.   In the meanwhile the people who received the package dropped it off to us.

3 weeks later, flyways called us saying they could not find our package.

Maybe they could dual drop cards, one at the door and one in the letterbox, assuming they have to pass the box to get to the door in most cases.

I am also tired of going to collect parcels that are not signature required and don't get dropped off, we even have a weather tight box that gets ignored as they leave it on the ground besides it in some cases. Really depends on the driver more than the company though.

I've had both experiences with CourierPost this week.

Sent two items for Trademe sales and both got there over night (WLG - WLG and WLG to CHC)

Ordered a Network cabinet and Patch Panel on Tuesday morning which was shipped via overnight Courier to Paekakariki and its still not here two days later.
Talked to CourierPost about it who called the Delivery Courier who said he will try and deliver it tomorrow.
