Rappelle: Super keen to hear about anything VR related!

This. Everything VR please!

Reminds me of a PR press release I got a few weeks ago -

"VRTIFY, the first of its kind virtual reality music platform. VRTIFY transforms how listeners enjoy their favorite music by enabling them to select a song of their choice – from their personal playlists or apps like Spotify or YouTube – then choose a tailored virtual environment to enjoy it in. Imagine listening to “Walk like an Egyptian” among the pyramids in Cairo. Users can also utilize VRTIFY’s VR channels or attend concerts in real time for a truly immersive experience"

Yeah nah.

I actually don't mind the sound of that!

networkn: Heh if anyone is up in the USA and has a little spare space in their bag, I have a couple of items I'd really love to get here without paying stupid money for shipping :)

If it's something that can be purchased in a store I'm happy to bring it back. It's going to be too late now to get anything shipped to my hotel in Houston and in Vegas I'm staying at an Airbnb apartment so doubt there is any way to get parcels delivered unless I'm there.

Thats incredibly obliging of you :)  Good stuff.

I would be interested to know how long it takes you to find something completely new. A product that makes you think "Wow, I wasn't expecting that!"
And breakthroughs in home automation.

Also, when you wander down the Strip in LV, how many Elvises, Marilyns, Batmen and guys with signs saying "Kick me in the nuts for $20" you see😃.

Home automation & security seems to be a big thing. I've had a lot of emails from companies with products there.

From what I have been reading, Samsung are expected to 'Go Big' this time, with items from their own version of the 'Skunk Works'. Could be an interesting stand to visit.

I'm in LA now and will be driving to CES next week. Have a few vendor presentations to attend but hope to spend some time on the show floor. Having been many times before I am a bit apprehensive about all the new door security including metal detectors and part downs!

Going to slow things up a bit.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

And if the airline refuses carriage, have a pointless twitter rant!

Edit: Also interested in home security :-)

Saw quite a few stands in the malls selling them and kids riding on them in the mall. I would not have thought that would be allowed. Not something that I would buy :-(

ZollyMonsta: Anything to do with TVs. There's got to be something more exciting than curved screens and 3D coming...

I just hope the curved screen gimmick/phase is over when I next update my telly!

sbiddle: Rather than post in all the various forums I'll just start with one post in here -

I've just written a blog post about my trip next week to CES. My plan is to try and get a blog post out each night* with some of the cool stuff I've seen.

Since there are plenty of you here who would no doubt love to go but can't, I'll open it up to some suggestions of things that you want me to look at or ask some questions about. If there is a product or company you want to know more about then post it here and I'll see what I can do.

* = May not quite be each night depending on the availability of free beer. smile

Can please:

Check out the "Light L16" ? Apparently, they won't have a booth. Oh.

  • 1/6-1/9 *CES - Las Vegas, NV. We will not have a booth. Please email us ortweet us if you'd like to meet up.

Also anything to do with VR video creation would be much appreciated. :-)
