Not sure I'd buy F&P again. Mine are 8 years and still going, but had a lot of trouble with the drier. Washer's fine. Fridge bought at the same is going fine but makes a few odd noises, and the crisper tray broke within 6 months.

Make sure you buy units with time delays, that way you can schedule them to run off peak - very handy if you get off peak rates like flick electric does.

Their washing machines and some fridges tend to be ok I have found, but front loaders wash better. But have a f&p dishwasher, and it is very poor, stuff comes out wet, nowhere near as good as the bosch or asko..

Wouldn't buy anything LG after my fridge went bung a week out of warranty and the retailer had gone bust. LG in Australia basically laughed at me even though they confirmed the display on the fridge was showing there was a mechanical fault- went as far as saying they had no service/consumer presence in NZ that I could deal with... dismal service to the end.

Last time I bought a washer a friend who was a service person said- get the most basic one you can (preferably mechanical insides and no electronics- F&P had the problem with circuit boards fraying at the time). Got a Simpson that just clunks along and clothes come out clean

TLDR- don't buy LG, or a washer with electric windows

If you are coming from a top loader, and get a front loader, then you are likely in for a surprise with rock hard towels...
