I had a habit of pranking staff especially when they were away on leave they would returned to a completely vanished work station or empty office or a office filled with tiny kids furniture etc etc . However my wheel chair was squeaking

annoyingly one day and one of my staff members offered to take it to the techs room and fix it. After several meetings I was coming concerned that it had not returned and was due to be in another building so sending txt messaqges

to get my chair back it was finally presented back to me. It had been well and truly pimped with Lakepipes, rear spoiler, front splitter, multiple aerials and horns. There was a splattering of ribbons and a white helmet.

It was very cool.

Open a few windows, take a screenshot, and set that as the wallpaper. Close all windows, then sit back and laugh while your boss can't figure out why he cant close them.

One of my co-workers at my old work did this to another co-worker's car. It ended up damaging the paint and ended up as a not a very funny prank for anyone involved.

At boarding school when I was in my late teens, we occasionally put cling film over the toilet last thing at night. There was always some poor sod who got up at 3am for a pee....!!

In uni I faked a letter from the school on school letterhead to our international dorm (for mature international students). It said we all had to be out of the dorm for the morning because they needed to spray for ants (we did have a few ants) and that anyone concerned about their belongings should put them in bags, boxes or suitcases taped shut and that doors to closets and dorms should be taped up and dishes etc. in the kitchen likewise contained. Then I convinced the students that since we had to be out of the dorm for the morning we should all go to breakfast together at a nearby restaurant.

So off we all went and during breakfast I put a copy of the 'official letter' with graphics of crawling ants all over it next to each of their plates as a keepsake and a way to tell them it had been a joke.

I hope they look back on the prank fondly. :)

Nah - there was more than one toilet!

We also put goldfish in one girl's bathwater when she left it unattended once. Switched it to cold as well, obviously!

A couple of us were sat in a girl's room at school once and had been loafing about listening to music or something. Alice stood up and said "I have to go to maths - you can stay but don't turn the room upside-down whilst I am out!"

Guess what we did?

Had a couple of Pranks done to me over my time

First I went on a training course for a week and came back to my desk and everything on it wrapped in TinFoil

Then turned 30 so they decided to decorate my car

Take a left hand drive car to check point with an obviously drunk person in the front passenger seat.

See how far through the process the officers get before they realise they have breath tested/charged the wrong person. In Nelson where a check point is two cops in the middle of the road with a hand wand and no other lighting, quite a long way ... and with no sense of humour when they realise the stuff up they have made.

My first job out of school was as a computer operator on an IBM System 360 back in the late 1970s. Night shift involved lots of printing on continuous stationery. We used to get stationery delivered to a loading dock every other week or so that would require several trips of being loaded onto a cart and taken down (the computer room was underground) in an elevator to be stacked in a room adjacent to the print room. It was the worst part of the job - heavy lifting, dirty boxes... people avoided it if they could. I remember one day when I drew the short straw...

I loaded the trolley to the point where I could only just push it, got it down to the hall outside the stationery room, pulled open the door, and... there was just a"brick wall" of boxes in front of me. A production problem the night before meant the operators had time on their hands, so they had used it to line up boxes, three deep, stacked right up to the back of the door and a metre or so each side. They had even lifted the top row of boxes and inserted more underneath so the top row was mostly higher than the top of the door frame. It took me about 30 minutes just to get into the room. Then I had to put away all the boxes they'd used for their prank. Then I had to stack all the new stuff that had arrived.

I got my revenge a couple of weeks later by waiting until just before the end of my shift and setting one operator console in a room where nobody usually went to be the master console, then used that to set all the other consoles to display only so, they couldn't enter any commands on them.

In the UK, agricultural diesel is called 'red diesel' and has far lower tax on it than 'white diesel' which is used for normal diesel road vehicles. (Tax and duty are paid at the pump, not by RUCs). It's called red because it has red dye added to make it obviously different.

At agricultural shows, it is not uncommon to see people from HMRC (Her Majesty's Robbers & Cops) checking diesel road vehicles because putting red diesel in road cars is an offence that comes with significant fines etc. (it's only supposed to be used in tractors, boats and so forth).

I had a Land Rover once that was ex-army and had two 10 gallon tanks, one under each front seat. I arrived at a county show and was accosted by the HMRC wallah who flashed ID and asked if he could dip my tank. Sure, go right ahead, I said, hopping out and removing the front seat base so he could have at it.

Back when I was on salary for a large corporate and was paid to slack off one of the developers on our team wrote a Windows service that would play random Arnold Schwarzenegger sounds while people were listening to music on their headphones, installing it remotely as a Domain Admin. It got to the point where we had to have a process list constantly running on our second monitor to make sure no one was running any dodgy processes on our computers.

I had my year 13 biology class do this to me on end of school prank day. It was quite funny, they took over half an hour to do it, however another one of my students had warned me and so I took up a pair of scissors and it took all of 30 seconds to remove, they were expecting me to unroll it.

A chap I worked with Fraped me. On another occasion he sent emails from my account to somebody else, declaring my love for them.

Among other acts of revenge, I photoshopped him astride a unicorn with a big beautiful rainbow above it. That picture ended up on television.
