Also, clearly there is no sensible response at the team level so suspend the chiefs from the competition immediately until there is. It could take a while.
I'd loved to see this but it just won't happen. And this little sordid affair has actually made international news. Thanks, idiots. The rest of NZ is grateful.
Sigh
The Chiefs should be suspended for the first 5 matches of the 2017 season following a formal hearing.
Good grief. Hung drawn and quartered before the verdict is in. Sounds Kiwi to me.
Discussing punishment before even hearing the other side of the story or waiting for an investigation. Wow.
networkn:
There have certainly been some extremely poorly chosen communications on the part of the Chiefs team and sponsors though, surprising really given the oversight NZRU has on many of these Franchises.
It is called having a brain fart. You say something that you never intended to say, perhaps due to fatigue, or not being used to being interviewed in that type of situation etc. Potentially we all do it from time to time. She has realized what she said was wrong and apologized, so it is something the media should move on from.

I agree, nothing else should be said or done until an investigation is complete.
It amazes me that some here thought it was ok a cop left a loaded gun in a parliament bathroom, thought "accidents happen" and then are calling for resignations, suspensions and worse, over the fact comments were made and the apology given wasn't to the standard it should have been.

I think what you mean to say is :
Given that in NZ presumption of innocence is the basis of our justice system, and in moving forward in the fairest way, pending an investigation, IF the Chiefs have been found guilty of the accusations being made against them then.....

It has not been established yet, that a victim actually exists!

A national rugby team, role models to young kids, ordered a stripper in. They did the same thing last year. What other side of the story is it that you are missing?
