OP - have you tried contacting the distributor yet?

This thread reminded me that we no longer get New World junk mail. TBH, I only bother going there if I see something I want to buy in the junk mail, so haven't been for months. I contacted the local NW store via their website, and they passed it on to the local distributor.

Yeah I have tried to contact the companies that were listed, but have not had a response back yet.  Not sure if complaints are low on their priority list or not.

I might contact the companies that I miss out on junk mail and put pressure on that way (Mitre10, Repco, Supercheap Auto, etc)

I would really prefer not to have to move the mailbox as it introduces a few issues, mainly how ugly it will be to have a random mailbox on a pole in the middle of the grass strip...

I might get a mail slot to attach to the wall for papers and for junk mail instead.  Provided I don't get a response from the marketing companies about why it isnt being delivered first.

You could get one that can be mounted flush to walls.. and bolt it to your nice sturdy brick fence at the correct height. :)

One of those security mailboxes.  They are really deep, but not too bulk in thickness.

Check out my LPFM Radio Station at www.thecheese.co.nz - Now on iHeart Radio, TuneIn and Radio Garden

As per the usual std disclaimer.. "All thoughts typed here are my own."

Yeah i have given that some thought over the weekend, either that or re-purpose one of those white NZ Herald boxes that you see sometimes.  But my worry is that I move it and the issue still remains.  I am back to square one.  Plus it is a bit of money to change a letterbox, money I would prefer not to have to spend.

Well there's only one solution left.

Hire a mobility scooter and a walking stick

Chase him down the street until he accepts an offer of an extra $2 per week to deliver to your box ; ).
