Not to dampen the excitement of summer being here, it is really unhelpful when trying to get some sleep after a nightshift. Nearly had to drag a mattress into the lounge where the heatpump is

I can't agree more. I get home and have to do this:

Aircon (top right) and fan blowing from the lounge into my bedroom lovely cold air. The heatpump is really overkill for our small house which is great as it doesn't have to work hard to cool our house to fridge levels. I live with my sister who woke up when I got home and complained how freezing it was :)

I come home from an air-conditioned office so walking into a house that is 31*C (it locks in heat) is like walking into hell. I hate summer, bring on winter!

Come, friendly bombs - fall on Slough!

It isn't fit for humans now.

One reason why, of the 4 heat pumps in our house, one is in the bedroom...!

It's also possible to specify units that use one external compressor to run two internal units - so one in the lounge and one in the bedroom, for example.
