tonyhughes:ROFL its only a tee shirtBenjip: Should we relax the laws surrounding public nudity while we're at it?
Yes.
marmel: ...I would certainly be pissed off if I got on a bus with my 3 & 4 year old girls and someone was standing there wearing that t-shirt. I support the censor on this one, I do not think it is fit for general display at all.
Dratsab: In the western society in which we live, the predominant religion is Christianity and this t-shirt looks to be deliberately designed to cause maximum offence to christians through both it's wording and it's imagery.
Jonski: What's wrong with offending Christians? Every time they say "god bless" or pray for my "soul" I get offended. Why can't this be a two way street? And why is religion such a sacred cow (excuse pun) that we must protect people's religious sensibilities anyway? If religion is The Answer (tm) it should be able to cope with robust contradictions.
Last weekend, I saw a youf with a hoodie that had Fsck You (spelled properly) printed all over it. I was offended because it was indiscriminant as to who it was aimed at, but that was the point. I just wish I had a daughter so I could forbid her to go out with someone like that.
People need a thicker skin, there's always something that will offend someone, and we should be able to tolerate that. (Thinks of the parable of the old man, his son and a donkey with goods on the way to market)
