No slogan at all, I'd personally prefer a lot less tourists. We're losing a lot of what we have/had at a great rate of knots.
Although I don't think it is just tourists that are the problem. I think the number of people we are letting in is also a major problem. Not only has it made houses too expensive for those kiwis already living here, but it has meant urban sprawl. I get that some companies are calling out for workers, especially low paid ones. But that sort of thing is cyclical. When the recession hits, we are likely go to end up with a heap of people unemployed, so IMO it is false economy to be letting in so many people. All it is doing is making some people a heck of a lot of money, largely from housing.
Yeah...nah.
According to Stats NZ
"Consequently, its (NZ's) population density is relatively low, at 15 people per square kilometre – less than half the OECD average and higher than only Australia, Iceland, Canada and Norway."
