I've used online ordering, pick-up in store for Burger King.  The first time I was standing in line in store (about 10th in a line that wasn't moving) when i placed the order.  When I clicked the button to say I was in store for pickup the order was quickly packaged (by the lady who was taking in store orders none the less) and I walked out with my order while still about 9th in the queue.

The 2nd time wasn't quite as impressive, but good enough to be something I'll do every time.

UnitedWeFall: When ordering it does say "We will let you know when your items are ready to be collected.

What I don't understand is this - they have stock in store, so why isn't the item ready for collection?

Its the same stock isn't it?

So, they don't need to mention that they will let me know when the item is ready for collection.

Maybe, they should really say:

"we've got no control of our stock position and are relying on customer's accepting poor service and doing what tell them. Thank the gods that our competition are as bad at this as we are"

Anyway, I revisited the store this morning and cancelled my online order. And you can bet that I won't use their "order online, collect it store... when we tell you and not before" service again.

Just out of interest, Noel Leeming are doing the Ultra for $93 at the moment. Deal is showing on their website and I walked into the store this morning and bought one.
The transaction went something along the lines of;
"I'd like one of these please, your website has them on special for $93.”
"Sure I'll just check. Yes you are correct."
