No, Arthur Thoms was a musician in Wellington's folk club scene, and then went into something to do with radio broadcasting.

I had a box full of CDs to get rid of - I just donated them to an op shop. Couldn't be bothered with TM.

I thought CDs were making a it of a comeback due to offering superior sound to online streaming. Cassettes and records too. I think there is a lot of nostalgia for the older formats. Even these old games consoles and 80's computers seem to be making a bit of a comeback and fetch good amounts on ebay.
