I had great expectations for this show but was sadly underwhelmed.

I'll try watching another episode or two, but its on notice now.

I much preferred that Rhys Darby TV show where he played all the key characters in the town....can't remember the name.

It won't mean much for anyone outside the country - or perhaps even outside Wellington. But that's the fun part.

Thought that about What We Do in the Shadows too but that became an international sensation!

I was pleasantly surprised to see one of my best friends in the police briefing scene at the back of the room.  She kept that quiet!  I txt her during the show saying "YOU'RE IN MY TV!!!!!!"

I quite enjoyed it and found the whole thing pretty funny, even when it was a bit lame in parts it was still funny. I think maybe you have to appreciate the kiwi sense of humour though.

I liked What We Do in the Shadows but couldn't get through the first 5 or so minutes of this. Just didn't seem as funny as I expected it to be.

I am guessing that NZ OA didn't want to miss out, like they did with flight of the concordes. 1.5 mill is a relatively small price to pay, as there does seem to be a demand for kiwi comedy and the kiwi accent. So it does sound like it intentionally has very thick kiwi accents . I would far rather taxpayer money is spent on this, than another 'inquiry' . I have seen a few episodes, and some good dry wit and comedy It does seem a bit budget, and homemade video like with some of the effects etc, and not sure about it being an X-files parody, right down to the music and credits.  But they have certainly done a good job with it, and some of the subtle jokes I think will go over some peoples heads.

Last night's ghost episode, s01e03, was great.

I didn't think much of episode 2, the aliens, but the writers really did a good job on this one.

I haven't seen 3 yet, but 2 was classic with the  farmer jokes, and the wife and all the children being played by the same actor.  Anyone know where 2  was filmed? Guessing it was in Whitemans valley? The police station I think is Avalon TV studios.

The dumb cop joke was funny for the few minutes it lasted in the film.

As an entire series? No it's not funny anymore.

Episode 3 was quite good although you do need to be familiar with Welly to understand some of the references in context.

The house where they shot the episode was amazing, anyone know where it is

I enjoy this more than the vampire movie. It's better each episode so far.

Any idea about the small car, with the 16 people, in the latest episode?

I think it was a old Fiat 500.

Hard to tell, since it was just from the rear
