My picks atm are :

Red Rising (Pierce Brown) - Hunger games meets Warhammer basically - read the trilogy multiple times :)

This looks pretty good, thanks. I'll buy the first one and give it a start before I leave.

Red Rising is great. If you haven't already purchased, the audiobook version is read by Tim Gerard Reynolds who is one of my all-time favourite narrators. Actually being Irish makes his Red/Irish accent superb.

Suppose to be getting made into a TV series/movie. I'm really hoping a TV series over a movie, and stick to the story page by page rather than try to cram it all into a few movies.

+1 re the TV series.

It's also apparently going to be a video game too. Not quite sure how that would work though.

And the sequel series (which I haven't started. Will wait until it's done). And the prequel series in graphic novel (which is good).

Quite the franchise all-in-all.

I really like reading autobiographies when on holiday.

How about Women Equality Power by H Clark?

Really? Is this a reaction without having read the book? Or is there a problem with women power in your view?

All of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series up till his last solo book "The Teeth of the Tiger". [I haven't really enjoyed the joint writings they are just not the same]. They usually hit around 800 to 1000 pages in paperback and slightly less in trade back. You can get them now as ebooks (iBooks & Kindle).

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

It was an obvious attempt to troll, esp given the type of books and authors I mentioned I liked, and the fact that Fred99 is well aware of my dislike of Ms Clark.

I approve your John Le Carre rating. The Karla trilogy is one of my absolute favourites.

I am sure the books are probably better than the TV Series. I didn't find Ryan likeable or relatable. Despite that I didn't mind the TV Series. To me he just seemed an incredibly unlikely candidate for the role he played.

Troll?

I thought that you might have a sense of humour.

If I misunderstood your intention, then I apologise, most people when they are joking accompany their text with some form of indication.
