Was looking to order the Ring Video Doorbell from them last week. Got to the cart and shipping to Auckland was calculated at $48.99. Yeah..No thanks.

I was looking at lenses for my son's DSLR and they were by far the cheapest purchase price - then I got to the cart and looked at shipping!!!

I decided that I'll never shop with them after seeing the shipping costs (which I cannot remember off the top of my head, but made the total approx. 50% higher than any local seller including shipping).

I ordered a monitor late last year with free shipping. They Shipped via PBT who then delivered it to the wrong address 2 weeks later and were unable to recover it. So after some bit of follow up with PBT and DickSmith, they resent another which reached me 2 and a half weeks later, totally a month and a half since i first ordered. Dick Smith were pretty good to deal with, PBT not so much.

Was looking to buy something else off their website recently and found it a bit wierd that shiiping the same item to area code 0629 was ~ $60, but shipping 1km away to area code 0630 is ~$6

Whoever runs the shop over there continues to be tricky... I was offered a mobile phone at a discount of $10, but found the shipping was $38. The phone was also available at the pre-discount price, and the shipping came in at $20 to NZ 🙄

I bought an LG phone from them for a family member a few months ago, shipping was free, and it arrived within 10 business days if I remember rightly. Didn't actually pay attention to who it was sent with but their tracking worked each step of the way in Oz and NZ.

tracking for mine said it was passed on to PBT with a PBT tracking number last Thursday.

I called up PBT this morning and they said they never received the item and now i have to chase up dicksmith to see what is happening.

Yep received last Friday. Attached OmniParcel tracking via image (didn't want to go through minutes of formatting).

I miss the old Dick Smith shops :( at least you could go in there and look at the item before buying it (or take it back easily if it was faulty).
