If it is fully assembled (bulky) or over 25kg (Heavy), under health and safety regulations, 2 people are required to deliver it.
Something this big and bulky should have been sent by a Transport company like PBT, not a courier company.
Salami: Courier post thinks the chair has gone missing but she will confirm.
Shaking my head at this....how the hell can they lose a friggin chair. It can't exactly fall out of someone's pocket.
Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
I had a medium size box "lost" last year not as big as a chair box. First I contact the courier company raise a ticket, then I asked the seller after a week, and the seller gladly refund me all the cost first and if the item suddenly appear I will pay the seller back.
But it never turn up, I tracked the tracking number for few weeks. It always showed out to delivery. Few months later, I tracked the item again, and it said back to depot for few days and then out to delivery again. But it never showed up, find it so weird.
The seller at the end received the cost of the item refund from the courier company.
I'm sure the courier person just want to hold the item and play merry go around and once he knew the system shown the tracking number ticket closed well guess the item it's his now.
Courier declared its lost .
I called playtech to call courier post to lodge a claim that the item has been lost.
They did this while I was at the store . Courier post was meant to send a confirmation e-mail to indicate the item has been lost because they need written confirmation in order to give me the replacement.
I ended up buying the chair again as I didn't want to wait another day and have it sent by courier again.
Tried calling courier post to hurry things a along but doesn't seem to be getting anywhere other than "I will email the investigator to send the confirmation e-mail.
So the box is around 3m long by 2m in width. It's around 20kG.
It's a big box so I'm sure someone must've stolen it.
I had an interesting experience but not with courierpost.
Bought something from netherlands, sent with UPS
After a week the item was stuck in auckland.
Called UPS from NZ (some international call centre answered it) and it says it is lost in Dubai (2nd last place it was scanned). Said I need to contact sender.
Called again same story.
Contacted sender and they when they called it was stuck in auckland waiting for customs clearance as status was unpaid. But i had paid.
Showed receipt to sender and item was delivered next day.
How there were 2 stories is baffling me, but i have my item luckily, as I don't think customs would give me my money back!

Because some dodgey courier driver has "lost" it.
Problem with that is, if it was scanned into the depot then it will all be on camera, if a courier has lost it then the last driver to scan it is liable for the costs so its in the best interest of the driver to not lose it.
Those dimensions are too big for a courier I'm assuming its a computer chair being Playtech and thats a pretty big chair or a whole lot of air in that box.
Depending on the volume a particular company uses, they'll have contract rates and a set cubic which is generally 0.15m2 and max 25kg and based off of your estimate size and assuming the box is relatively flat and 200mm thick, thats 1.2m2! well over what Courier Post will take.
Seeing as Courier Post have collected this item they either gave Playtech a very generous cubic rate or the size is out.
Poor form on Playtechs behalf fobbing the job of tracking it down on you, thats some crap customer service, its on them to lodge an investigation as the contract of service is between them and the courier and because you have paid for a 2nd chair hopefully Playtech don't try and make it your responsibility to lodge the claim seeing as they already have your money, thats their job! and they will have to claim at cost not RRP.
