But as others have said, someone has to pay eventually. I would personally just want to negotiate a "free" delivery purely to make myself feel better. At the end of the day, nothing is free.

 

 

One to two guys, a truck with all it's running costs, insurance, it all adds up. That 5 minutes isn't really the issue, it probably covers a bigger tiers, and why ultimately no matter how many price "tiers" you have, someone will complain they paid too much (it's the kiwi way after all)

go to bunnings, buy a plastic chair for $17 and ask to use their courtesy trailer

For that price they will also take away all of the rubbish (packing etc) so you don't have to deal with it.
