Alright, alright, stop being cheeky. I've never been one to accept the "if you don't like it, get out" mentality. I prefer to stick around and make it better. Strangely though, of all the people I've spoken to, of all the blogs I've responded to, of all the forums I've read and all the emails I've received - you lot are the first to advocate the new change - furthermore so strongly! I suppose I'm trying to find the common link between you all that make you so special (in a good way...).

Perhaps this more tech-savvy crowd has less of a signal-to-noise tollerance than the average user? the old facebook was nothing but spam/rubbish apps everywhere which you have to wade through to get to the actual content.

I haven't exactly spoken to many people re: the new UI but every one I have spoken to much prefer the new one. Most of these guys are not over technical as such, me being the only person in that circle who works in the IT industry. One thing we may have in common is probably how we use FB. Most of us are not that interested in the numerous apps - we mainly use it to keep in touch, share photos, and status updates. The new layout nicely removes the clutter of the silly apps.

I'm midly curious what people don't like about the new layout but not curious enough to go digging about it.

I think you 2 hit it on the head. I joined some of the pro new Facebook groups (pretty damn small though) to ask some questions and it seems that the people who prefer the new layout aren't really a sentimental crowd and simply use FB to keep in touch - end of story. The people that like the old layout preferred to customise their layout and make a page that felt like "them".

So it appears that you GZ users are a hardened heartless bunch that care not for the little things in life Laughing. Or you just prefer less crap on your profile. I'm also picking up that the pro-new-FB users DO seem to have more technical knowledge and experience, meaning the transition is easier for them.

Thanks for everyone's feedback anyway.

Yea, I just use it to keep in touch.

I have turned off all 3rd party apps, and actively block the ones people do use so they don't show up on the "news" page. I don't care which of my friends flirted with someone!

I guess that explains it, if you really care how your page looks, you'd be a bit nose-out-of-joint.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.
